Refusing to reside in the background, Disfigurementality is a whirlwind of genres and sounds, offering an hour of doom in which no part is predictable or expected.
Elegant classical interludes, both in the traditional and modern variants, sit comfortably next to raw and massive doom sections driven mainly by equally powerful guitars and vocals. But this is only a starting point which further branches into much more, so much more.
Disfigurementality doesn't sound like it was merely written, it feels crafted, meticulously. The band knew these genres and styles could be made to fit together naturally. This is their proof, a work of years. A truly fresh piece of art within a genre that's already broad. A great achievement that still manages to get better with each listen.
